In a broad sense, lots of existing microscopic work has lead to improvements in some people’s life indirectly. For example, when you have a cancerous spot on your body, the doctor can remove this and a sample of this tissue is processed in the Laboratory and examined to see if it is cancerous or not. The human eye when used with elaborate microscopes coupled with technology, has allowed huge advances in research. So I don’t thing improving the microscopic ability alone will be the only thing to improve life.
