Question: What develops diabetes?

Developing Type 1 diabetes tends to be due to genetic causes. Although others have suggested that environmental factors (viruses etc) may alter certain genes which cause this autoimmune disease. Type 2 diabetes tends to occur later on i life and is linked to weight, though it has been suggested that there may be a genetic risk already there which is being triggered.
