The devices are quite user-friendly and most people find them easy to use. The training focuses on how to look after the device, how to recognise when something goes wrong, how to respond when you get an unexpected result ( a very high glucose, e.g.) There are specific guidelines associated with all the devices and the training prompts people to think about how, why and when they would use the device. You often learn as much as you teach from the different groups.
