My college lecturer, Denis Alexander in Ulster University. He kept my attention for every class and when class was finished, he would stay on, chatting and telling us all sorts of trivial things.

Thanks for the question. Peter Higgs (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Higgs) would be my choice. He was jointly awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics in 2013 for his work on subatomic particles which was validated in the CERN’s Hadron Collider. A very humble man.

Jocelyn Bell-Burnell would be my second choice (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jocelyn_Bell_Burnell). An amazing scientist, she’s an astrophysicist, and she was born down the road in Lurgan, Co Armagh. Very encouraging of students and again a very humble person, considering what she has achieved.

      What do you think? Jaine
