• Question: Do you think humans are going upwards or downwards because of the various technology around these days? Because I read an article and it said that the average human posture is getting worse because all the iPads and IPhones etc.

      And larger thumbs! I realise myself that it effects my learning. I go to Google for short-term knowledge. I’m finding that it doesn’t ‘stay’ as much as book-based or example-based learning. It feels as if knowledge is disposable. So we’ll all have larger thumbs and a humped back in a couple of generations!

      Oh you’ve hit on a bug bear of mine! I fear the reliance on phones alone for the younger generation will breed arthritic, creaky humans who are unable to raise their heads above a certain level! I love the advent of technology because it has created a world of information for all to access. The postural problems that it brings are ones I foresee unless we limit the use. On a more positive note, though, I think there are many initiatives in Ireland trying to combat the sedentary lifestyle that technology can induce.
