• Question: The structure of DNA appears to be intelligently designed, what are the implications?

      I guess it depends on what you mean by intelligent design and what evidence that you have to support this. I am all about considering different theories, but once you have a theory, you need to apply tests to either to disprove or prove. I have to go by evidence in my work, as my results can influence people’s health. Sometimes, you have to accept that you can’t prove or disprove the existence of, or reason for, a particular act. It’s OK to say ‘I don’t know’!

      I guess genetically, because DNA is spiral and parallel strands, it means that interaction of other proteins is facilitated and controlled. As we understand it, when there are breaks in DNA, cancer cells can propagate so the spiral helix may well protect against cellular damage and unsavoury reactions.
