• Question: How could the water arrive in Mars scientifically?

      Like the earth, it was possibly present as part of the planet’s formation, or it could have come from other planetary sources eg collisions with comets. Scientists are still not completely sure as to where Earth’s water originated from!

      This is an age old puzzle that scientists are still pondering. So no-one knows exactly (yet!) The evidence to date suggests that years ago, Mars was similar to Earth-wet! But now there are polar ice caps on Mars which you can actually see with an ordinary telescope.
