      The times when things go wrong or when you have to repeat an experiment endless times. It is worth it, but you can have days when nothing seems to go right for you.

      As a medical scientist, you often work on your own, under pressure to deliver results. This can be difficult if the phone is ringing constantly and you have are waiting for the instrument to churn out results. You have no control over how a machine will behave and if it breaks down in the middle of something urgent, you have to think quickly to implement your contingency plan while keeping cool!
