      Oh Carbon monoxide is -very toxic, even at low levels. It basically takes up all the oxygen binding sites on the haemoglobin molecule and the oxygen you breath cannot be used. That’s why there is such a campaign for households to monitor the carbon monoxide content-you can’t smell it and with the advent of increased insulation, it has become a real hazard.
