Comparing a group of tumour models that we use in our lab to over 2,000 tumour samples taken from patients. I was comparing them using the differences in gene expression levels, some genes were measured more than once, so I had a data matrix that was 40,000 rows long and 2,000 columns wide. It took a lot of computing power and some serious coding/programming.
